49. Remote - Are there any universal IR and RF remotes that will work with the ZapperBox?

Yes. We have found three. The Harmony Remote & Harmony Elite Hub. See FAQ #10 & #43

The LG Magic Remote, if you have an LG TV. See FAQ #26

The Sofabaton U2. See FAQ #33

Cheap universal remotes like the GE 8-device 47508 ($10) and the Philips 3-device Universal Remote (also around $10) do not work. This is because they are not programmable to learn new keys. If they don't have a "ZapperBox M1" setting in their database, you are out of luck.

A customer has reported that the Best Buy 8-device backlit remote model NS-RMT8D21, does work with ZapperBox as it can learn ZapperBox keys from our remote. We have ordered one so we can confirm this.
