Kickstart 2025 with ZapperBox: Exciting Shows, DVR Tips, and the New Zapper Mini

Happy New Year, everyone! This year, we have so much in store for you here at ZapperBox, and there are so many new and enticing shows to watch and record. Don’t forget to DVR your favorite shows so you can binge watch at any time. And now, with the new Zapper Mini you can watch your favorite show in any room over Wi-Fi!

Pro-tip; the Zapper Mini requires the guide data subscription to watch recordings over your home network. But, you do not need a subscription if you just unplug the storage from your dual tuner or single tuner device and just plug it into the Zapper Mini. Encrypted recordings are not supported yet. That’s coming later this year.

This month, you are truly in for a treat with an incredibly exciting lineup of shows accessible through your antenna, completely free of charge and without any subscriptions. Fox is kicking off the new year with "Animal Control" in its third season, featuring the comedic talents of Joel McHale and continuing to entertain audiences with its unique workplace humor. ABC is bringing back the beloved "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" with new hosts Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin, promising heartwarming home transformations that viewers have come to love and cherish.

CBS is making waves with two notable premieres: the revival of the classic game show "Hollywood Squares," now hosted by Nate Burleson and featuring Drew Barrymore as the center square, and the brand new medical drama "Watson" set to debut on January 26th. For fans of young adult horror, "Goosebumps: The Vanishing" returns for its second season, potentially airing on ABC and offering a thrilling viewing experience for those who enjoy supernatural storytelling.

The true beauty of these shows lies within their accessibility - no streaming subscriptions, no paywalls, just pure entertainment available with a simple TV antenna and ZapperBox. Whether you're a comedy lover, home renovation enthusiast, game show fan, or horror aficionado, January 2025's over-the-air TV lineup has something for everyone.
