What's On Antenna - 76th Annual Emmy Awards

Tired of TV pay walls? Try a free antenna TV, DVR and gateway.

I really hope you watched the 76th annual Emmy Awards on your ZapperBox. While most nominated shows are behind paywalls, there are a couple gems from the anticipated awards show that are available free over the air with an antenna.

There’s almost nothing that’s better than sketch comedy, and sometimes a good hearty belly laugh at a skit about something absolutely preposterous is just the thing we all need to unwind. Saturday Night Live is available on your antenna TV, and you can watch all the comedy skits, musical performances, and monologues you want on your Zapperbox.

After a long day, sometimes all we need is a few laughs shared with the celebrities we know and love. You can watch “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on your antenna TV, free of charge, and enjoy legendary talk show host Jimmy Kimmel as he brings humor and insightful commentary to the late-night landscape. This show earned a nomination for Outstanding Talk Series.

Steve Harvey was nominated for Best Host for a Reality or Competition program for his work on “Family Feud”, a well-known, nostalgic classic that sets family members against each other to guess audience survey results to popular questions.

Whether you need a laugh or want to have something in the background while you cook dinner, you can find “Family Feud” on your antenna tv to enjoy at any time of day.

PS: I have been promising myself that I will start writing this newsletter as soon as I get settled in The Big Apple. This month I moved into an apartment on the Lower East Side and hooked up my ZapperBox with a tiny 5” Chaowei indoor antenna that sells on Amazon for around $20. Lo and behold, I have 116 channels of free TV that include 8 channels in low VHF, 23 in high VHF, and 11 NEXTGEN TV channels. This is going to be fun!
